Biography
Julia Flaherty is a MindBodyGreen–certified Health Coach (CHC) and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)–certified by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, with over two decades of lived experience managing type 1 diabetes (T1D). She founded Chronically You, LLC, in July 2025 to offer practical, compassionate health coaching for people navigating all types of diabetes.
While her small business is new, Julia’s work in the diabetes space spans more than ten years. She has led and supported patient education initiatives, managed content and social media strategies for diabetes brands, led marketing efforts for well-known diabetes nonprofits, and supported community-favorite diabetes clinicians, consumer goods brands, and medical device companies. She is an expert writer and health content marketer, currently supporting Type1Strong.org and BeyondType1.org as a freelance contributor and serving as Client Content Manager for Diabetes Nerd Marketing.
Julia is continuing her professional training, with plans to complete functional nutrition certification through MindBodyGreen and Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) training with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in early 2026. She brings lived experience, professional expertise, and a grounded, realistic, compassion-led approach to support clients one-on-one—meeting them where they are and helping them build sustainable change in real life. No cookie-cutter BS!
