Biography
Rachel graduated from the Columbus State Community College nursing program in 2021 and then received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Ohio University in 2023. She also has a bachelor's degree in communications from the Ohio State University. She passed her certification exam to become a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in 2024. In 2023, she received both the Rising Star for the Ohio chapter of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) and a Nursing Excellence Award for OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Rachel has lived with type 1 diabetes since 1998, and spent many years as a counselor at camps for children and teens living with diabetes. She enjoys helping patients make diabetes work for their lifestyle, while still being able to enjoy and live life.
