Sarah Hormachea

I am deeply passionate about diabetes care and education, taking pride in my practical approach to translating and communicating complex health information. I enjoy delving into the "how" and "why" just as much as the "what." There’s nothing more fulfilling than helping clients achieve their goals—I truly can’t imagine doing anything else!

By day, I am a registered dietitian nutritionist, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, and board-certified in advanced diabetes management. With over a decade of experience spanning clinical trials, community and primary care, and specialty endocrinology, my professional journey has been diverse and rewarding. From grant writing and program management to remote patient monitoring and insulin pump training, every day presents a new opportunity to make a difference. I am especially passionate about helping clients optimize their use of diabetes technology.

By night, I advocate for diabetes care and education professionals. I proudly serve on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) and was honored to be named Colorado's 2022 Diabetes Educator of the Year.
