Nykkia N. Sellers

Dr. Nykkia Sellers is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with an extensive background in endocrinology and chronic disease management. Nykkia Sellers specializes in adult endocrinology and focuses on diabetes management. Nykkia is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and has a board certification in Advanced Diabetes Management. Nykkia is the founder and owner of Diabetes Care and Wellness, a private endocrine practice in West Memphis, Arkansas. She has been instrumental in creating and implementing diabetes awareness and education programs in the Mid-South area.

Currently, Dr. Sellers, NP, serves on the Advisory Group for the Women’s Interprofessional Network of the American Diabetes Association. She has been invited to speak nationally to discuss diabetes management and awareness. She has published articles and developed diabetes courses for healthcare providers and professionals. She is a member of several professional organizations and societies. She has served on the Shelby County School’s NAF Health Science Academy Advisory Board. She is a recipient of the Johnson & Johnson BAND-AID® BRAND Black Healthcare Hero Scholarship.

Nykkia Sellers earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of South Alabama. She also received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University in 2002 and 2007, respectively.
