Join Diversity in Diabetes and Type Zero Foundation for an in-person Community Day as part of the 2026 People of Color Living with Diabetes Summit.
Community Day is an opportunity for people living with diabetes, families, caregivers, and supporters to come together for an evening of education, connection, culturally relevant resources, and community.
Our mission is to create access to educational and supportive resources for people of color living with diabetes and underrepresented voices in the diabetes community.

More Than a Watch Party
Community Day gives you an opportunity to experience the POCLWD Summit alongside others in the diabetes community.
Watch select Summit programming, hear from speakers, connect with local organizations and resources, and take part in activities created for both adults and youth.
Most importantly, Community Day creates a space where people living with diabetes and their families can connect with people who understand the realities of navigating diabetes.

Meet Type Zero Foundation
We’re proud to partner with Type Zero Foundation for our in-person POCLWD Summit Community Day in Central Florida.
Type Zero Foundation’s mission is to create a place of everyday support for families impacted by all forms of diabetes in Central Florida. Founded from the lived experience of Type 1 diabetes, the organization works to create spaces where individuals and families can feel safe, understood, supported, and inspired while connecting with others who understand life with diabetes.
Through community, movement, education, mentorship, and family-centered support, Type Zero Foundation is helping make sure families don’t have to navigate diabetes alone.
