Time in range can and will help you. It’s empowering, easy to use, and helps you live the life you want.
Time in range helps you tell your own story about your blood sugar levels. Think of it as a “choose your own adventure story”—you get to make your own decision for your own life. It allows you to see how different aspects of your life affect your blood sugar (food, exercise, medications, stress, even a sunburn) and helps you recognize patterns and make real-time decisions that will make you feel better. It makes sense why we love it so much, right?
But, it’s about more than just metrics. It’s about quality of life. People living with diabetes experience different energy levels and moods when they are “in-range” vs. “out-of-range.” And that’s where our motto comes in: Know more. Do more. Know where your blood sugar is and where it’s going, and do more to get and keep it where it needs to be. But also, do more swimming. Do more reading. Do more skydiving. It’s all about giving you the freedom to do what you want to do.
Time in range is also connected to a decrease in diabetes complications. We’re here to help you take action, not lecture you, so that you can work towards the future you want. Early studies suggest Time in Range can even predict long-term diabetes complications (e.g., Diabetes Care 2019, Diabetes Care 2018)—the bottom line is: when time in range goes up, complications go down. And that means a healthier life for you.
We’re not quite finished yet—using time in range leads to better sleep, improved mental health, a more positive mood, and so much more. It leads to living.
