Karen Lau is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with 15 years of experience at Joslin Diabetes Center, a Harvard Medical School affiliated institution. As a recognized authority in her field, she has contributed to multiple national guidelines and standards for diabetes management and nutrition therapy. She specializes in providing culturally-responsive diabetes management and nutrition services for Asian Americans living with diabetes, gestational diabetes, and prediabetes. Through her comprehensive approach, Karen helps clients develop personalized strategies that honor their cultural food traditions while effectively managing blood sugar levels. Her mission is to make diabetes management accessible and culturally relevant for Asian Americans, empowering them to rediscover joy in eating while maintaining optimal health.
