Biography

Hello! I am an experienced psychotherapist who was diagnosed with T1D in early childhood. I am a disability-informed and culturally responsive therapist, and I specialize in providing support to people with diabetes. Throughout my work, I seek to understand how each of our unique identities, context, and experiences intersect with our physical and mental wellbeing.

Whether you or your child are recently diagnosed or have been living with diabetes for years, I am here to support you. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy to clients of all ages, and I have a special area of focus on the transition to parenthood for people with diabetes. I am available in-person in the East Bay (SF Bay Area) and for virtual therapy for residents of California.

Diabetes can be so isolating, and I am honored to provide mental health support to individuals with diabetes and their families. Please reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to explore whether working together may be a good fit for you!

I look forward to potentially connecting more.

Warmly,
Madi Marcus, PsyD
