Biography
If you are feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed due to living with diabetes, you are not alone. Diabetes can deeply impact our mental health, and it can be challenging to find care that incorporates awareness of cultural identities, contexts, and experiences. My hope is that working with me may feel like a gentle landing space in an overwhelming world.
As a licensed clinical psychologist who was diagnosed with T1D in early childhood, I specialize in providing mental health support to people with diabetes and other chronic illnesses. I often work with people with diabetes on navigating stress, processing systemic oppression, and seeking social support.
I provide individual and family therapy to children, teens, and adults, and I have a special area of focus on navigating school (at any age) with diabetes. I am available in-person in the East Bay (SF Bay Area) and for virtual therapy for residents of California. I also consult and provide training on inclusivity and mental health to diabetes organizations and healthcare providers around the world.
Diabetes can feel so isolating, and I would be honored to support you, your family, or your healthcare team. Please reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to explore whether working together may be a good fit for you.
Warmly,
